For the price I don't think it has the looks. With the kit inside I would really showy, otherwise it looks like any other slightly modded machine.

But surely thats the whole point? I wouldn't consider a pimped out, supe'd up, custom painted, 300bhp Saxo or Clio a dream car, but I would a Ferrari or Lambo which is just as unobtainable and impractical.

Skulltrail with 2 QX9770's and 4870X2 in Crossfire X? Not at all son....

At the end of the day this will be the 3rd in Scan's "White" line (White Cobra, Great White, White Tiger), and frankly it's getting boring now, whatever hardware they stuff inside.

Gotta love those MurderBox systems! However the top end Scan systems like this are pretty damn nice too.

No we wouldn't. Because that case would be a good start. It got a lasercut window - so what? The attention to detail is missing: No (or badly sleeved) cables, the HDDs are very visible, the strip of metal between the mainboard and the hard drive rack really catches the eye etc.

It's the minor details that characterize a truly great mod. But then a top end Murderbox machine might be twice as expensive... I didn't really look at the hardware tbh, not really interesting... it'll be out of date in two years.

It's not pretty enough for a Scan Dream PC. Components are shiny though.

Keep talking people. At the end of the day, this sort of discussion is a great reference for private modders like myself who do create "truly unique" eye catching cases ;)

My two cents on the White Tiger - poor effort. For something that's hand built, that lacks some of the most basic modding techniques.

I'm in agreement with Unicorn here, it's a poor effort. I do like it as a case, but if it were their 'Dream PC', I would feel cheated, especially are the Jellyfish thing they made last time!

It's going to have to be something pretty special to beat that. I didn't like it all that much, but my god, you could only have thought that up after cheese fueled dreams!!

Its not that great looking case in my opinion, Specs are very good, not sure how much heat and electricity the 2 GTX 480's will consume but it will be fair amount though :eeek:

I dont want to run down anybodys mods (I think all mods are great in there own little way) but some of the builds on this site that have recieved positive comments are not even in the same league as this scan rig. So maybe you wouldn't praise someone for a magnificent laser cut TJ07 but I think the majority of people would. (just type in TJ07 into the log forum).

Scan's dream PC most likely be based on a corsair 800D but possibly with their own window mod.
