They do, Its pretty lax, jeans (i often wear the same pair for 4 days of work, they get pretty dirty, but who cares?) and then they have work shirts for us (blue with a little patch that has your name). But we can't wear sandals...

Florsheim kangaroo skin shoes- nothing like the look on people's faces when you tell them that a kangaroo died for the shoes and a pair of Sperry Top-Sider boots, which seem to be so exclusive that I can't even find a photo of them. One of those rare pairs of shoes that not only look good, but are also a rational choice.

come on guys! Why spens so much on shoes?

get some good quality army boots! waterproof, good all year around... lasts 3-5 years! The only expense you'll have is shoelaces and shoe creme (or whatever it's called)

(ok.. i know i'm a cheap***... I even got my boots for free ;))

    I currently these:
    The Montrail Hurricane Ridge GTX.

This is my second pair and I will soon buy the XCR version which is simply an upgrade to the upper material (Gore-Tex XCR). Very light, hugely grippy, wonderfully comfy and incredibly stiff and stable they are pretty much an ideal platform for anything. I use them for cycling, hiking, loafing, up mountains (snow shoes!), down valleys, etc... Not cheap and made even more expensive by the SuperFeet insole to improve my posture, but worth every penny as they are nothing short of perfect for me :)

Pah. What you all need is a pair of these:
(thanks to Mach5 again for the hosting :) YOU DA MAN!)

Been wearing these for the best part of four years. Still kickin' and I still get people come up to me and tell me they're great boots :)
    Bring it on.
