Yep, despite all the doomsayers predictions this does look pretty damn good, I'll be in the queue when May comes around.

    Looks all sorts of awsome

But if Simon Pegg doesn't say "She cannae take it, we just dont have the power" i will be sorely dissapointed

Eh...it was ok. I'll reserve final judgment for when it comes out. It does have a lot of potential though.

Thanks for the links. Was slightly disapointed that this wasn't on the trailers before Watchmen last night.

Except Sylar doesn't eat brains. :p
So was I, I'd heard that this trailer was supposed to be attached to Watchmen so I had avoided seeing it online, but no... the previous trailer is. Boo. :(

It looks like a very entertaining film, if only it didn't have Star Trek written on it. :(

    It would seem so.

If it's awesome, I'll happily eat my words and bask in the glory of a decent 'trek movie, but so far Pegg and Syler as two of the best characters is distinctly uncool. One doesn't suit the role (I don't think Pegg suits anything other than comedy), the other has been typecast by his awesome work in Heroes.

So, even if it does look like it's yet another Star Trek wibbly wobbly timey wimey story - Someone (I assume Spock from the Nimoy's dulcete tones) says:

"James T Kirk was a great man, but that was another life"

    - the trailer actually made the hair stand up on the back of my neck. :)

Karl Urban is channelling Deforest Kelly, isn't he... Every clip I see him in, it is Bones. The flip side of that, Chris Pine sounds more like a young John Crichton than a young Kirk. :p

I'll take the WWTW stuff on the chin and not worry overly about it. I'm sure Agents Dulmer and Lucsly of the Department of Temporal Investigations will sort it all out and get all the paperwork straightened out in the end.

They like Kirk, after all. ;)
