new to folding but will try and help out with 3 pc's

as title says i am willing to give folding a go to help you guys out with the following pc's

pc 1 2600k at 4.7 with 8gb ram and 6870

pc 2 qx6850 extreme at 3.9 with 4gb ram and a measly 7800 gtx

pc 3 phenom b50 quad at 3.8 with onboard graphics

will be upgrading pc 2 and 3 with nvidia 480/570

question is where do i start lol

 

2600K should run the bigadv client

The other 2 can run the SMP client

The 480/570 will be able to run the GPU client

The guides at Stanford are a good start. Let us know where you get stuck & we'll help you out with install.

One think to do is to get a passkey from stanford first so you can get some bigger points from bonus's.

If you can get them setup asap then you can join us on the chimp challenge

Agreed - but there isn't a different bigadv client, it's the same SMP client but uses the -bigadv flag (with the v6 clients, this may not apply to the v7 beta clients)
