Hey y'all, this seemed like a nice site with friendly and knowledgable people :D , so I thought I'd ask my questions here.
I'm new to all of this, and would like to mod my computer to get away from the "beige box" look. I'd also like to mod my monitor, have any of you done that?

    So my questions are:
+ Where would a good starting place be for me? I'm not interested in side windows, since the side of my computer is mostly hidden.
    + Any general advice?

    Muchas gracias,

Well first off this should probably go in the Modding section, not the Project Logs. :)

A good starting place for you would be where you want it to be different. If the side is mostly hidden, what about the front? Check out some of the Project Logs here to see what other people do with the front of their cases.

It all really depends on your style really. Some people like the rust look (overdone IMO) and some people like a nice clean look. It's up to you what you want to do, but if the side is hidden, I'd suggest doing something with the front of your case, or just even painting it. There's plenty of guides on the site to help you through your modding. :)

BTW Welcome to the forums - where in Wisconsin are you from?

Browsing through these project logs and the modding section will give you loads of ideas and also tips & advice.

There are also several bit-tech.net articles on various modding techniques etc. which are a big help.

And there's always google ofcourse ;)

Welcome and good luck with your modding :dremel:

Welcome to the forums Gorilla! :)

I just moved your thread to Modding as you will get much better feedback here. My suggestion would be to check out some of the case mods and articles on the main site www.bit-tech.net and (as was pointed out above) browse the project logs for ideas and inspiration - there are some great mods going on there at the moment. Also check out our list of affiliate websites for other modding sites and there are plenty of links in the forums here.

Good luck and happy modding! :dremel:
