hello everyone, im new to the modding scene. My dad sent me one of those clear cases from xoxide.com and i know its a pre-mod but after i got that and put it together i thought modding was pretty cool. I saved my old case, and i think im gonna build a new pc out of it and mod the **** out of it. I went through 87 pages on this forum last night, and you guys come up with some incredable **** i would have never thought to do if i never came here. Been reading up on alot of mods, ive never soldered anything in my life, but im gonna take a try at it with my mouse, reading a couple of how to guides it doesnt look like the hardest thing in the world to do. But my question, i dont know if its mod related but i was wondering, just out of curiousty you guys seem like smart people. Is there a cheap "easy" way to play x-box on my pc?? I dont know if thats a modification you have to do or a simple usb connection. Your input would be cool, thanks in advance!!

okay theres 2 ways to hook an xbox up to a pc monitor. The first would be to buy an adapter that would take the rca or coaxial in puts and turn it into the 15 pin d-sub vga connector. I'm not sure about these connectors but I do know they have one from computer to tv so I'm assuming they would work in reverse or exsist. The second way would be to buy a Tv tuner card (theres several from ati) This cards have a Tv in And you can wath tv or hook up game consoles thru the input. Hope that helps, good luck with the soldering I first started doing it when I modded

Didn't have a tv in uni, so I got me the cheapest tv tuner card possible from ATI (wounder VE I believe) and plugged my PSOne into that...

Works great, looks nicer than using a tv...

Until I bought guns and Point Blank 3 - damn gun things don't work on computer monitors.

But anyhow - tv cards can be found for around £30 and you have the added bonus of having a tv in your computer (oooh, pausing live tv, streaming live content to other computers on your network or even over t'internet, using your mobile phone from the bar to program in recording of a show you'd miss otherwise - www.snapstream.com - I mean, forget the XBox, do you need any other reasons to buy one?)

I watch TV and play my XBOX all the time with my shuttle, all you need is a TV card as stated, but if you want to combine the two they you could simply mount the XBOX in the PC re house the drives and power switch etc and then wire it to your TV card.
