Graphics new Vcard... opinons wonted

    im running a 7950GTOC by BFG for 2 years now.... and has done a very good job and is only just started not to handle new games (Crysis)
    im thinking of upgrading to a new 8800GTS 512MB which cost around £220 OR shall i get a low end 8800GT and SLI them??? that will cost close to £300 but if its worth it ill go for it.
    (note im running a 1650x1050 Rez screen)

    and plz dont tell me to wait for the 9800 coz it sucks tbh..... its only 30% faster than ultra and is stupidly big!

    EDIT: i know i spelt the thread name wrong ffs (opinions)

    8800GTS 512 is the best option - SLi isn't worth it. It'll run rather nicely at 1680*1050 too. :D

    unless you can find a really cheap GTS i don't think it's worth the extra money over the GT. all the benchmarks i have seen show marginal performance difference, and the gts usually costs about $50-100 more. and i wouldn't go for SLi right away. get a single GT, and if it's not enough then pick up another one later.

    and you can edit the thread title, hit the "go advanced" button in edit mode.
