Viruses are written for everything, my watch probably has a virus. Shouldn't be that big a deal, right?

    :duh:

It's been a hard day... After staring at .Net and Crystal (Spit) Reports all day, my eyes are refusing to work properly... ;)

    Fixed.

It's a script which has the power to add it's self to other scripts but at the moment isn't self executing...

Heh, I don't even know what that means, sounds technical :D

Not to rub salt in the wound, but the "end of 2006" link doesn't seem to work either. I blame gremlins.

    Fixed - Again! ;)

  9. This was inevitable really, but their attempts will hopefully made wasted by Micro$oft fixing the security holes (for once!).

Right. Anywho...:) (still the damn $ instead of s...)

I'm not surprised in the slightest. The good news is, they're busting beta instead of RCs, so this should be able to get fixed. If anything, MS is probably happy to let this one get hacked to pieces. Might explain the earlier release (as opposed to how much they kept XP under wraps, and then ended up needing to issue a Service Pack pronto to fix all the missed loopholes). Perhaps they learned...?

I was thinking the same thing, can't they use that to figure out they're flaws now?

I actualy dont have a problem with someone scripting for vista now... B/c now its not installed on a couple million PC. Heck now is the time to do, but the sad part is though it's not an attemp to "fix" windows. It's a new toy to break for these guys... Most of whom run linux, or solaris, and generaly concider all things microsoft the devel....

Well that's a given... and something we all have to consider. But it's not as if Bill does any coding anymore. And chances are that they all do their coding on macs as they fail to crash on the contrary to windows systems :p

I think those individuals that hate MS so much should just not use it... No MS nothing...forget Windows, forget Office, forget IE (oh wait that has been done already)....and forget DirectX AFter you've done that... you can then say whatever you want about MS.

    That would be lovely :D

Nah, cheap...see, that would spoil all the fun. Much better to bitch about the company, then run virtual windows on your mac or linux box. You can cry about how it's "All the software designers' fault, they keep writing for this crap" and never remember WHY you are running virtual windows in the first place...because it makes coding so much easier thanks to well-created HAL and API calls.

Basically, no matter what they do, the MS haters will hate MS, and there will always be at least some type of excuse to justify the behavior in their eyes. :)

  17. If you didn't experience Microsoft, you wouldn't hate them! lol, I use microsoft office PC & Mac, A Microsoft mouse (very nice I must Say), XP on my two Windows machines, Windows for PPC on my XDA IIs PDA, I have an XBOX and like most games from Microsoft studios but I don't really hate them. I just state the fact that the OS isn't IMHO what it should be, I'm sure many would agree and then also many others wouldn't; but just because I and others may point out the MS may copy something from another OS or isn't as stable as a competing OS, doesn't neccessarily mean we're haters. Although there are a few H8Rz out there . . .

    Thankyou,

    C_F_

Shouldn't a Beta be "close to a working release"? These guys are paid mega bucks right (surely they must with the price Bill charges us for his software :eyebrow:) so why can't they work out themselves that the product they are shipping loosely resembles swiss cheese? Why ship it in this condition in the first place?

If they can't.... maybe it's time for a staffing change?
