Agree completely - though, just for clarity, pinching the tubing involves going around the whole of the loop periodically rather than just squeezing one bit of it.

Also, in my experience, you also need to be able to rotate (esp) the rad round & round (though also check the blocks both at the beginning & towards the end - one reason why i prefer plexi tops on blocks as it makes it really obvious if you've got air trapped in them) every so often over the first 12-16 hrs or so until doing so stops making a noticeable noise...

...if you cant dismount the rad easily then, making sure the screw stopper on the res is tight & the liquid in it is always covering the bottom where the pump inlet is (otherwise you'll end up with more air being added), you can rotate the whole case to some extent - though it's not quite as effective in my experience.

You can also try turning the pump off for a couple of minutes to let the air bubbles collect & join, though i've seen arguments that this 'may' be pointless on the basis of them very quickly being smashed up again as the pumps turned on.

Yeah, most importantly it's about patience & whilst you 'should' be able to get rid of almost all of the air in ~12-16hrs, it's worthwhile double-checking by rotating the rad once again after several days & again after a couple of weeks.
