My trusty old Mondeo ST200 has been sold... He's now in Glasgow, owned by some chav I'm afraid. No doubt it's already got blue LED window washer jets and a shopping list down the front wings. :sigh:

Oh well.... on the up side.......

    .....I've bought THIS!

More photos at weekend. It's a dry weather car only this... and it's raining, so he's tucked up in bed right now in a heated garage.

    2006 Mustang GT Premium Manual
Tungsten Grey with Charcoal Aberdeen leather
Full interior upgrade pack with shaker 500 audio and MY Color dash
    17" Bullit alloys
    Registered Dec 06 on a 56 plate.
only 1800 miles on the clock.

It's great! Proper muscle car. It's raw, noisy, and crude.. you can hear the gearbox, and drivetrain, you can hear the engine.. you can feel it living and breathing beneath you... it's tremendous.... so long as you go in a straight line.. LOL

Nah... in all fairness... it handles well. You can tell it has a solid rear axle on corners with uneven surfaces, but trust me.. all this hype about it handling badly is rubbish. On a race track you'd notice it's shortcomings pretty quickly, but on a public road, it's absolutely fine.

Put some 19's on that beast!

I've driven the V6 convertible around california and it was great fun. Hope you enjoy it!

You mean that precise car, or just on of the same colour? I bought it from a dealer in Rayleigh, Essex. Same car?

yes.. my wife is pleased with it :)

If you enjoyed the one with 2 pistons missing, you'd really like this one

    :)

I am thinking of larger rims, but I like the Bullit wheels it has... suits the car... You can get 18 inch Bullits tho, so that may be the way to go.

I quite like the wheels. You can get 18 inch versions of the bullits so I may do that. First thing is a decent axle back exhaust, a X-Cal tuner and cold air intake.

She looks happy, infact it's the same colour as the one I rented.

    Any plans on a supercharger?

    I'm green :baby:

The shaker 500 is really good too, made my car sound like a clock radio.

Yes.. Supercharger is on teh shopping list once it has a few more miles on it. Can't decide between the Vortech centrifugal blower, or a roots charger like the Roush or Ford unit. I like the whine you get from a roots charger, but the vortech is cheaper.

    Time to decide yet tho.

The Clarkson video The Good, The Bad and The Ugly is pretty good and shows you the differences between the mustang, the shelby mustang and the Rousch mustang and the Rousch is the daddy.

Leather's the other two round the track.
Mind you, that's cos they completely re-engineered the suspension IIRC which I don't think you're planning to do?

Still, I'd pick Rousch stuff every time if I had a mustang... :)

Awesome but for gods sake make sure you *do* fit it with some rims bigger than 17" :D

    Nice car! :D

Gibbo on the OcUK forums has a supercharged Saleen Mustang....seems to know a lot about the different Mustang tuning options available from different manufacturers, so might be worth having a read of some of his threads over there as well as on the US forums.

Gotta agree with the comments about the wheels though - the Mustang needs 18s at an absolute minimum, the arches are big but the overall styling of the car makes almost all wheels look puny :(

    Nice, I love those cars.

Do they not do a RHD version in the UK?

Not a chance, Ford don't seem to want to bring the Mustang to the UK market.

Dodge and Chrysler are the only American manufacturers to have ventured over here with RHD versions of some of their cars.

Who was taking the photos Pookey?

Nah leave them as are they look sweet, if you go to 19's youll have to put on low profile tires and you mess up the ride. the obestion with bigger wheels on a car is misguided it just messes up how the car handels unless you spend the time resetting up the suspention, It also addes extra rolling weight to the wheels.

roffle @ your missus. Must be nice to have one that likes cars as much as you do and doesn't just go "how much is this going to cost us?? "Don't you think of the planet" or "that money was for (pointless things like) a new dress/holiday to Turkey/our childs education!"

Does look like you can fit a hippo between the gaps of tyre and body though ;)

It does look the total pimp :thumb:
