Marvellous work, the Polestar is one of my favourite cars at the moment! I wouldn't take a dpf-equipped diesel for those miles, and life's too short for that anyway!

Quite happy to share in some of the ownership experience assuming all goes well. Road tax and fuel sound good for your bit? I recorded 14mpg on a short stint :worried:

Picked up the polecat (as it shall henceforth be named) today. She loves it, I love it, all is well in the world :thumb:

What impressed me on the (long) drive home is just how easy and compliant it is to drive like a normal garden variety Volvo estate, and how well the dampers absorb road conditions in spite of the rock hard springs. You would hardly believe that once switched over to the "full polestar experience" as the manual describes it (ESC off, sport, manual) it's the same car.

28mpg on the drive back surprised me as well, partly on account of fairly treacherous conditions and mostly 50mph motorway roadworks, but better than it could be none the less.

And that exhaust note is just... hnnnnnngggggrrrrhhhh.

So, generally speaking I'm not a big fan of personalised plates and view them as a bit of a frivolous waste of money, but I must say I'm feeling this...

    Thoughts?

If you've named your car Polecat, why not PO13 CAT perhaps?

This reminds me of the Top Gear chat about not being able to have B411 BAG, but it being possible to have M31 ONS. Greengrocers? Fine. Purveyors of football-carriers? Not so.
