News New York City mega Call Centre falls to Blaster virus

From the Inquirer:

SOURCES SAID that a giant New York City call centre was hit by the Blaster worm this morning, causing widespread disruption as tech staff scrabbled to deal with the problem.

The call centre, the NYC 311, which has a web page here, deals with all City functions except police and emergencies.

Our IT dept only patched against it at lunchtime ffs. It makes you wonder the state of mind of some people..
