Hey, I got my mobo w/ heatsink pre-assembled and I was wondering about something. Should the fan on the heatsink be blowing the air as an "exhaust" or an "intake"? It looks to be a 60?mm fan, yet I don't feel any air coming from it. Shouldn't it be sucking the hot air away (exhaust?) and I should feel the air flow when I move my hand somewhat close to it? If I'm wrong, tell me why please. Btw, the fan is a coolermaster 60mm?...not sure on heatsink. Thanks, -Jiff
In a nutshell, (unless it's an Alpha heatsink), the fan should always be blowing onto it, so you won't feel anything from the top of the fan.
