    Ok Im new to electronics, does anybody have any good ideas about what to start with so I dont completley screw it up, Ive tried some things and my solder joinst look like little drops of silver dew on the wire wrapped in miles of electrical tape...

    practise soldering.... lots of it... the only way you'll get better is by practising it... and learn to read wire diagrams... and maybe learn all the color codes for resistors.... (really don't do that... just memorize the important ones... 100ohm, 560ohm, 470ohm....)
