I have recently set up my main rig (hd was dead). I have a A7N8X-Deluxe v2.0 and I downloaded the most recent version of the nForce drivers and now I can only boot up in safe mode!

While booting the Windows XP Pro screen comes up (with the blue progress bar) then the screen goes blank! I have have tried installing the video drivers before the nForce drivers and its a no go also.

I was able to install the drivers off the cd that came with my board, they worked. But I am trying to get the most preformance out of my machine as possible.

Can anyone help me with this? Also is there a nForce destoryer like there is a Detonator Destroyer ?

When I installed mine I had no problems.

I first installed the whole nForce driver pack, then rebooted, I then went to add/remove programs and removed the video drivers, rebooted again and then installed a set of Omega(hacked Detonator) drivers.
    Never had a problem.

driver cleaner can be useful. Nforce drivers have always been good to me, ive never needed to take old ones off before replacing with newer ones.

you havent got 2 soundcards in there have you? one onboard + one pci?
