I am having real problems with SHift 2. I use a G27 wheel but can't seem to get it set up right. I have played plenty of other racing and sim games and to be honest I'm a bit dissapointed it looks great but the handling is terrible ruins it for me. If anyone finds G25/G27 setings that work then let me know.

Aaaaaargh, so much want to buy this, esp since it's half price just now, but I use a 360 controller and just can't risk it being a pup....

Bought it, kinda sorted the controls and liking it mainly.

But just cant get the controls to respond anywhere near perfectly. Using a 360 controller just now, will use my wheel eventually, however it's becoming a labour of love. Have tried the settings recommended in previous posts and on other forums, but it still behaves like a lazy snake...

    Will keep trying...

IMO this game is unplayable. I'm using a G27 and just can't find any settings that are even vaguely similar to how an real car handles.

    Not impressed!

I've been using my 360 controller on my PC. Immense fun. Only problem I've noticed so far is that some races are easy, and others are nearly impossible. Most are fairly even though, and I have to race nearly perfect to get a win. Those are fun.

As far as the controls. It took awhile to set up properly. Once I had it set up right, I actually turned on steering assist. I know that's taboo for hardcore racing. But! It made a world of difference. I was able to win and drive well w/o it, though. But w/ it the car feels MUCH more responsive and more in line with Forza controls.

    Just my 2 Cents.

Edit: @BlueSpider - I will log in today and accept the request. Haven't been able to play in a couple days or so due to work overload.

Agreed on mouse/keyboard. Tried it, tweaked, googled. Unplayable.

leave the game on stock and have the Logitech software override it, there are profiles out there for the Logitech software that work.

I'm driving my mustang around donnington quite happily.

Xbox 360 pad is still finicky. Problem is the loner cars are all really sensitive, too much steering lock.

Only handling thing i noticed was the input lag.

Do you guys think this will have a big impact and improve the handling? Or just a minor one?

Im starting to get fed up with the handling

I've set deadzones to 0 in the meantime. Helped a lot with chicanes and high speed corrections.

nah for me its all about donnington GP, I've always loved racing Donnington with my fav always being the cruise down the Craner curves and throwing it into the old hairpin, but here, in shift 2, I'm ****ing scared of them.

    and that is awesome :thumb:

Has it done anything discernible to the handling with a 360 controller on the PC? I've just had a quick blast, can't really tell if there's a difference...
