OMG - buy it! Im lovin it atm, still waiting for my play order to come through (week monday) but the samples ive got are really very NIN. Imo theyve moved a bit away from the heavier industrial feel to lighter but the music is still there and im listening to it and smiling a lot It's been a while since ive had a new album this good.
Damn right! I've heard a couple of tracks, and from what I've heard so far it's looking to be a great piece of work. If the rest of the album is as good, it could be another classic from Trent
I'm a hard-core fan, and I will be buying this album, you can be for damn sure of that. Be sure to check out The NIN Hotline for news on all their upcoming releases. I can't wait until the DVD version of Closure comes out, but that might take a while due to their dispute with his former manager. So far, the album sounds amazing from what's being streamed from Best Buy. I'm filling with giddy excitement. But the reason it's calmer, is because it's a "reflective" album, but the next one, coming out within a year, will most likely be heavier.
Like I was saying to my mate, regarding The Hand That Feeds, it's a decent pop tune. Very radio-friendly. Sounds better than most of the pretentious crap that has preceded it.
At last, someone with a bit of actual talent is back on the music scene. Trent just can't go wrong Yes, this will be finding its way from the shop into my car forthwith.
As another hardcore NIN fan, I must agree that this album is sounding awesome so far! Im also pleased by the level of support for it, i've seen 'em once this year, and i'll be seeing them a coupla more times soon
The Hand That Feeds is, as far as I can tell, the only NIN track I've knowingly listened to. (it was getting it's fill of airtime on TotalRock). You know, I may actually go out and buy it (well, the album anyway). - H.
Hi, new to the forums here.....Anyway it should be a great albumn and I'm picking up my copy next tuesday. On to the bragging.....My bro and I am going to a NIN show in ATL on 5/21, tickets sold out in 2 min! It is going to be one of the smallest shows NIN has ever played. Sry I just had to put that in.
so does anyone know what trent has been up to in between NIN, he pretty much disapeared for a while there
I'll be upstairs looking over so i can get a good view at least. How big is the academy anyway?? Filty - getting his life back together i think.
My copy just came through this morning, days before official release (Play, you rock something hard). I absolutely love this album. In style it's like a retrospective of NIN over the last ten years and more - there's tracks that remind me of everything from Pretty Hate Machine to The Fragile. The track that completely bowls me over is Right Where It Belongs - I really can't get enough of this song, or the V.2 version that's on the UK release as a bonus track. Much love going out here. And I wish I had tickets to a gig
I'm gonna kidnap my friend and drag him along to the Minneapolis show. His parents are rather anti-fun, hence the kidnapping. It will be an amzing CD, and an amazing tour. I can't wait for the next album, which will be out "within a year". We'll see about that.
NIN at brum is sold out isnt it ? shame really, its my local and im lovin their new stuff too, oh well academys pretty big bindi, holds a fair few thousand people, and yup, there is a balcony there, i remember seing cky there, bam, the crazy mofo dived off there, onto a load of ppl below - have a look while your there, its a good 10 ft drop
Excellent. I have been waiting for this since the Downward Spiral. Brilliant. Reznor has done it again.
Did you not like The Fragile or something? I know I did. Not released until tomorrow for those in the states. I'll be at Best Buy at midnight probably.
