I like over half the album. Considering how many "instrumental" tracks there were, that's a pretty good album in my opinion. Personally, I think it was an amazing album.
The Fragile is Trent's masterpiece IMO, but let's not drag this thread off topic. What's everyone's favourite track off With Teeth? I really can't decide between the two versions of Right Where It Belongs...
I haven't heard both versions, but Right Where it Belongs is definitely my favorite, so far. The equivalent of Hurt, Something I can Never Have, or The Day The World Went Away on the new album.
Muhahaha ANTS After the 50th repeat i think i like some less, Sunspots not as much. I never remember names but when i listen to it i know the words :/ strange. I think only, is it only? That's slightly less wonderful than the rest.
welll this is my take on the album...i downloaded it after all u guys were in awe about it.......first of all i dont really listen to this sort of stuff but i thought i'd give it ago..... i'd have to say this album is not as hard rock or whatever genre u call it but i did like the electo aspect of it..my fave tracks would be right where it bellongs, the hand that feeds and beside you in time... i did like the sound of this stuff...but one thing that i did notice is the main singers voice is not as rock-ish as i expected....it aint as strong sounding as other rock singers ive heard....like the singer from breaking bejamin....his voice is mental an im sure there r other singers with even stronger rock-like voices arround..but the NiN singers voice is much more gental an softer. i did like how most of the songs does heve quiet aspects then goes into rock mode....some time after....... well this is what i think after my noobish report about the album.. p.s. have u seen the video to hand that feeds...i like it....nice an simple.
so ive been listening to the CD for the last 12 hours... i think its really good. Definately not as hard as something like Pretty Hate Machine or Downward Spiral but at the same time it has its own heaviness. I really like The Collector, Sunspots, The Hand That Feeds, and Love is Not Enough. I will say this... Dave Grohl did a great job on the drumming... i wasnt sure what i was going to think about him doing the drums but he did a GREAT job!
ooohhh ****.....did dave grohl do the drumming......man that chaps a ledgend... he's like "rent-a-legendery drummer guy" howmany bands is he in now??? foo fighters queens of the stone age...... i dont know any more.....but im sure his services r highly sought after. p.s. what happened to NiN's proper drummer???
Nirvana... Oh, and downloading music really isn't appreciated here. EDIT - I think Chris Vrenna (usual drummer and various other instruments/production) has left NIN, I heard they had a falling-out or something but I'm not sure.
only downloaded it coz as most people kno the returns policy of most music shops is limited now-a-days....so i didnt want to spend money on something that i was not sure about......so thats my reason..but if anything else by them is out there im sure i wouldnt mind buying it nxt time. p.s. ohhh yeah i forgot about nirvana.
sorry about that...just that i want to put my side across...an i do understand that there wer many discussions about stuff like that.....im sure i wont be talking about a subject as sensitive as that.
You know, you could have legally "downloaded it" from somewhere like itunes etc Which is actually what i assumed to start with, but then you admitted otherwise
Finally got it today - loving it! Not had chance to listen through it enough times to decide favourites but I'm reet keen on 'Only', 'All the love in the world' and 'getting smaller' aswell as hand that feeds, obviously, hehe It's going in me car tomorrow morning and probably staying in all week
You realize he isnt a member of any of those bands right? He is in Foo fighteres and does session work on the side. He did QOTSA and NIN because he was asked.
He only drums on about half of With Teeth too, the other half being done by the guy who's drumming for NIN on tour (can't remember his name, begins with a J)
