i thought he did the entire album, then the touring drummer came in and learned it for obvious reasons
Yeah, Dave Grohl only part of it, and I can't remember who did the other parts. I can tell you it definitely wasn't Chris Vrenna, as he left the band 10 years ago. There's some other cool people in the band this time around, though. The picked up Aaron North from the Icarus Line, Jeordie White from Marilyn Manson, and Alessandro Cortini from Modwheelmod. A fine group of musicians. And Atanum, piracy is frowned upon under any circumstances. Don't try and justify it by making excuses. Such an amazing industrial outfit should not be pirated, especially when they bend over backwards to make the album cheap enough to be easily accessable to a large group of people. $9.99 ain't exactly a steep price for such a good collection of music.
Vrenna left NIN in 96/97 but still worked with Reznor on The Fragile and the And All That Could Have Been tour. Jerome Dillon is the current drummer.
Well I know the views on piracy here, but I just downloaded the album as well. Only difference is that after one listen, it's going to be winging it's way to both me and my mother's partner (Birthday present) in a play.com box by Wednesday. P2P does have it's good sides. I use it as a 'try before you buy'. Doing it this way has no losers- I only buy music I like, and the bands still get my money.
*cough* downloaded using itunes of course, but then you wanted a physical disk with uncompressed music, not mp3 Not that i dont understand your approach to "try before you buy" either, but Bit-tech cannot condone such illegal activities from people who decide not to purchase it and not delete it.
I totally understand that Bindi. Just found out I may be getting on the guest list for the Brixton gig. I love having connections!
I shall do. Nothing is definite yet, but my step-bro (Vocalist of Fony...www.fonymusic.com) happens to know the promoter of the gig. I will tell you all if I am successful.
This album was a "spur of the moment" buy after hearing The Hand That Feeds on Kerrang!. I am damn pleased that I bought the album, it's pretty damn good! Definately into NIN now.
Ive listened to this album a few times and I love it. Production is really good and the album is an album rather than a colection of singles, its quite progressive in some places and builds quite nicely. You could say it is kinda pop like but tbh they gotta just right which is why its so likeable. Overall its a great album and will satisfy most people, appart from people with no taste that buy whatevers played on the radio the most. 4 / 5
