As much as dislike the "I know nothing about hardware, please help." posts (if you know nothing about hardware, what are you doing posting in a hardware enthusiast forum,) I know nothing about 'nix - please help......

I just got a new MacBook pro and want to become familiar with 'nix command line stuff. Could you give me links to some good resources for newbies? Maybe even make a sticky listing some of the best?

    Thanks in advance...

Not wanting to pimp my own thread, but there is a sticky at the top. It offers some basic BASH commands, and a link to bash.org. That might get you started.

But, I tought OSx and *nix were quite different. Maybe you should post in the Apple forum instead?
