A/V No 5.1 for winamp?

hi..

I own a 5.1 system with 5 Speakers and a subwoofer.... they all work very well in games...

but I never get winamp to use the rear speakers or the center speaker..

do I have to change something in the options or do I need a special plugin?
or is it even impossible to use a 5.1 system with winamp?

 

Works fine on mine, well it works for mp3's anyway

 

i never play mp3's in 5.1 on my set up as to me the sound coming out the rear speakers always sounds tinny i would rather stick to stereo for music and crank up the volume

 

Go to the options, Output Plugins, open the configuration for Directsound Output. Put a tick in Hardware Acceleration.

See if that makes a difference. I know it does on my nForce2 mobo.

 

yup dude tis working wiv 5.1 now must be a default setting in winamp 2x
