Is everyone in Malaysia just jelous or something? I know it's a Moslem country and they dont show kisses on TV (like on Zee-TV etc), but it's not like they arent multicultural and people dont know what a kiss is.
Note: I'm not whining, just my observations . You seem to think us Americans should be more 'open minded' to the 'needs' of illegal immigrants. When in Rome doesn't apply I guess.
I don't see the big deal personally. They've said holding hands is fine and kissing is fine. They just don't want to see any passionate 'French kissing' and groping. TBH I'd think we'd be amazed at the amount of English people that probably find that "improper" too. The only difference is we don't like to make a fuss because we're English. Reminds me of that law in Canada (a completely western and 'civilized' country by our standards) whereby a female can legally be topless in public. Try that in England (again a 'civilized' and western country) and chances are you'll be arrested. Who's right and who's wrong?
No, you Americans seem to think that illegal immigrants should integrate despite the fact that you marginalise them (there's a difference). The two positions are incompatible. I expect an illegal immigrant to abide by US law, respect US customs and learn to speak the language. I expect Americans (and the rest of us) to do the same when we go abroad. However you cannot exclude people and then wonder why they don't want to be part of the club anymore but start their own to exclude you.
Too bad they don't. Immigrants should try to integrate IMO. Illegals should be sent home and their US employers should be fined for every illegal they employ. I agree with those statements, though.
