Hey I was hoping you guys could help me with something. I turn on my computer and I get no image on the screen. I have tried three different video cards (My 9600XT, 9200 and a RAGE II Turbo) and I get the same results. I just recieved the motherboard as a replacement for my old one so I know it's not the Mobo, but I am wondering if it may have something going on with the BIOS and/or some type seting wrong on the Hard Drive? Any help is greatly appreciated and welcomed.

    Thanks ahead of time!! :thumb:

faulty monitor? Or is the brightness set too low? Me and my friend did that to a monitor at school last wednesday, the IT teacher thought the monitor was broke and threw it away... Then we nicked the monitor from the skip before it started to rain!!!

Try a different monitor cos trying 3 graphics cards and a new mobo doesn't seem to me to be a system failure.

Yeah, sorry I forgot to mention, but I have tried two monitors. My 19" LCD and my parents 17" CRT. They are getting a signal, but nothing is displayed.

I hope nothing else is wrong, you don't think maybe setting a single HD to master could be causing this? I checked and all of my cables are correct, the HD is getting power, so I just do not understand why this is happening.

The HDD shouldn't have anything to do with it (yet), you should be able to get into the bios. reset the bios etc. And is your cpu working?

As far as I know it is. Is there some way to tell? I really don't feel like having to buy a brand new Pentium 4. And I can't get to the BIOS. But I will try re-seeting the CPU and seeing if that helps.

Depending on the motherboard, a D-Bracket is very useful, I always reccomend everyone to get one and it tells you what the mobo is doing during boot. It gives you a LED code if something goes wrong. This has helped me solve problems quickly in the past.

    good luck!

Cool, I'll have to look into that D-Bracket thing. I'll have to screwa round with it more tomroow as it's almost 530 am my time now, so I need sleep. Hopefully I can get this all sorted out soon before I head of to school.

Ok, I still cannot get the son-of-a-bitch working. I am 2 seconds away from lighting the damn thing on fire. I have tried two monitors, three video cards, two hard drives, 6 different cables, another power supply, re-seating the CPU and video card. Nothing. Not a damn thing. I may be calling newegg.com and telling them the replacement is faulty, but should a 3 day old motherboard fail on it's way during shipping, I really hope not. Maybe this is a omen. Maybe I am not supposed to be able to build a working PC. If anyone has had anythign like this hapen to them, please let me know how you remedied the problem. I need this PC for school and I am moving in two weeks.
