Micron are ending production https://www.techpowerup.com/292091/crucial-to-end-ballistix-ram-production-and-sales
Shame, the Ballistix sticks seems to have more overclocking headroom than competitors and are competitively priced for their rated speed.
They're also the right side of plain looking to take on whatever the look of your build is. There will probably be a rebrand at some point.
This is a bit disappointing. I have always bought Crucial ram, never had a problem and went with Ballistix for the first time, for my current setup.
Almost always gone with Ballistix since DDR2 IIRC. Will be interesting to see the changes they make to the 'normal' range. Corsair RAM messed me about, come to mention it I'm RMAing the first NVME of theirs I bought. Guess there's Team Group and GSkill (the other RAM I've tried and had no issue with).
Same... Crucial was my go to of late... Still very much in the 'Corsair aren't getting my money' phase of expressing my displeasure with them.
Aye, one go with RAM years ago and that messed me about. Thought I'd try one of their NVMEs and it lasted about two years before just going "nah, not gonna work proper, soz"
Probably because I've got a drawer full . Their kits have proven to be excellent value for money especially the 3600 CAS16 kits.
I bought two sets recently. Both 32gb. They were cheap as. Good RAM been using it for years. I guess the market is just flooded. I'd also guess they supply lots of RAM to other OEMs too. Shame though.
