    Hmmm.....

    I'm getting contradicting info...

Could Bit-Tech test the Prolimatech Megahalems cooler so we could decide which is the best cooler after the Noctua?

Before I start: I love the mag and the site; I own this cooler and have an AMD 955 BE @ 3900Mhz. I have low profile high-performance ram, system temps are similiar (+better for me with my overclock, than the test). Unfortunately the review score has been influenced by the "problem" with high ramsinks and the top exhausts . I have a clear run of air through my CM Storm case (through the cpu cooler, front to back) and the computer is very quiet.

Also I couldn't help but notice the cooler pictured in the custompc review had bent fins.

Understandably some of you guys will use high ramsink chips, however if like me you have low profile ram in a case with regular front/back airlfow >>GO MENTAL>> get this cooler, especially if your planning an overclock with your 955 :p

I can't hide my disappointment as this is my fave mag/site and it's probably the worst scoring review on the net for this cooler. Some sites have this up against the Megalahem and it wins. I don't feel the review does this beast any justice. :waah:

Anyway, not to worry >> It really is a great cooler and I highly recommend it for other AMD users out there!!!

Just caught up with this weird review, and the weird test rig with no rear exhaust fan. I got this cooler and it's simply amazing on my Intel based system.

The final scores in no way do this awesome cooler justice. BT, you guys should re-review this cooler under proper test conditions.

How about a review of the Noctua NH-C14, a similar piece of kit but designed for cases with insufficient physical headroom for a vertically mounted 120/140mm fan-based cooler, such as my Antec P193 which can only accomodate a maximum cooler height of 135mm or thereabouts.
