As you can see, it can be interfaced with minimum components, no fancy level converter IC's or anything. And no external power supply - nice!

The resistors etc can be soldered to the pins of the D25 plug, easy!

Nice, and what software do you use to drive it?

Note that the 3315 LCD is actually what i used for this mod, it's essentially identical to the 3310, with 8 metal pins.

I think the 5110 and similar use a similar interface (not the same pinout but close), but they're a little trickier to do as they have the conductive rubber bit connecting it to the PCB, not just nice pins ready to solder.

The 3315 one doesn't have a backlight, but the reflective layer is very thin, it lets a lot of light through so it's easy to backlight with a bright light behind it.

Hey Guys, I've had a 3310 LCD running on my PC parallel port for a while now and it's easier than you think, this SW uses a much simpler circuit and is a LOT more eye candy than LCDInfo. Just look at this page for details: LCDHype Nokia 3310 I even got an old Nokia 5110 LCD working using this SW, it ROCKS !
