first one hopefully is easy if I want to sleeve the power cables etc in my tower unit what do I need to get to actually put around the cables to sleeve them. second I plan on starting a mod where i build a new base unit from scratch using a load of metal and a mig welder (plz don't ask you really don't want to know) and i have been told that ide cables only work over a certain distance and that sata cables are better so the question is whats the difference and whats better (the case will be taller than a full tower by about half as much again)
techflex. google it. ide max length - 1.5 ft sata max length - 3.3 ft has to do with sata being single device cabling vs. ide being 2 devices.
