School started last week down here. Luckily Im done with that anyways so Ill be shouting NOOO!!! WORK TOMORROW!
Luckily I am done with school forever but I also happen to be unemployed to really tomorrow is just like any other day for me. As fun as that sounds, I'd really like to be shouting "NOOOO!! Work tomorrow!! but alas, I can't. Anyone else in THAT boat?
Like I said, no, but I feel your pain! I got out of the army in january and the school started just now, and during that time I only worked for some 6 weeks. Being unemployed/having nothing to do may sound tempting and can be fun for the first three days, but it totally and utterly blows in the long run. Not having to wake up reasonably early and not doing anything constructive/clever just doesn't work for me. (hmm am I still wasted after last night or did I just skip the hangover.. interesting)
Seriously, do not bitch about going to school. Once you leave education you will forever look back and wish with all your beating heart that you could go back. Make the most of it.
LOL. I've been outta school for a good while now, and the ONLY thing i miss about it is the half-days (school around here is 07:00-13:00)... i would NOT want to go back to school.
Started 3 weeks ago. Already full of it again. I really need a holiday after working all summer. Jipa: Which Uni are you going to?
I had to go back to school on Tuesday. Mostly cos I work there, ICT technician / teaching assistant . Don't worry, the staff hate the 1st day back as much as you My problem is I'm now institutionalised, can't deal with getting a proper job and losing my 13 weeks a year holiday. I could get a job at HP with my brother and get £10K or more. I'd rather have the time off
Lies! I don't miss it one bit! Leaving education is probably the best thing that has happened so far!
NOOOO WORK TOMORROW!! Just like last week, and the week before, and the week before, and the week before, and the week before, and the week before... School is an awesome blanket of knowing where you need to be and what you need to do.
Well you can over here as well, but I think he meant that when you're younger you don't have the responsibilities or workload you do when you get older, so everything seems better. It's funny how even I was told this but it didn't make a jot of difference. I hated school at the time but wish I could go back now so I didn't have to put up with work, dissertations, work, rent, work, mounting piles of debt that I'll be paying off for the next several decades, work etc... Shhhh! Stop bitching, at least you have a job you enjoy. Now go reply to some more e-mails because I'm sure there's plenty of people on here that wouldn't mind replacing you.
Like any usual office job, I know Monday is for stock & sales figures. Tuesday is testing day and Wednesday is Online Content day. Wash, Rinse..repeat
This, except our team doesn't do the teaching assistant bit. Fortunately not many of the kids forgot their passwords this time around, which means we've been left to get on with things.
