    Where there's a will there's a way!

It should actually fit quite neatly... although I have to remove the display from the temperature monitoring board.

I've already started taking them... Although not very good quality as I don't have a decent camera.

I'll sort them out over the weekend.

How long do you reckon you're gonna sell these kits? I really want one but I'm totaly skint at the moment (debt: the worst part of student life!)

    Cheers

    Radiator,

This is not a one off. The display is a standard item from us and only recently introduced. We expect to have a product life of 3 to 5 years.

The kit part number will be on our system now and for ever, so once you've saved up your pennies and want to order one please do. However, if you order in say 6 months or more’s time, give us a bell first as prices may have changed.

    All sounds good...

To answer someone's q, LCDC can handle 8 lines but I think this is its maximum (it was 4 until I begged mat for 240x64 graphic support ;) ) - which could make life a little difficult with the big display. I often use more than 4 lines in LCDC for a 4 line graphic, to spearate the different locations for different sized fonts etc... it makes life easy ;)

    Cheers,

    Rob.

    Enak / Funks,

    Oversea is US right?
Well i've sold my bit-tech lcd deal to my brother and have had a big look at the A4 VFD :D

But US$ 96 to get it to Norway is like a bit much for my likings.
Is that the price for the Kit Enak talked about..??
[~ The kit includes the KGU126X32F-K612A4, connector, cable and blue film filter ~]

    Thanks,

    ModaCe

MMhhz, this might indeed require some clarifications, does the "overseas" in the 96$ offer mean only for US or do you count Europe to it too? cause there's water between the UK and the rest of europe, right? (well at least there was last time i checked)

Anyway i've allready sent an email to try to order it so i'll see what comes out anyway.

    Hi aCe2k,

    So you are in Norway?

That to me as I sit here in the UK is overseas (The North Sea to be precise!) :D

We're trying to help everyone as we are an OEM and don't normally make these type of sales. This US$ payment may be a bit of a hassle for some people but its the best we can do today, I'm sorry :(

But look, the deal is: Order our NEW KIT part KGU126X32F-K612A4 and you get, the display module, cables, connectors AND a blue filter, too. (Are we doing a deal? or are we doing a deal!!)

Hope you can stretch to the $96; you'll be pleased you did in the end. :hehe:

Do they call you DrPsycho because you knew what I was going to post before I did it? :sigh:

Perhaps I'm just a little tired and not too quick with the 2 finger typing eh?

or i'm just refreshing this forum page every 30 seconds to see new posts arrive :D

Anyway Funks, thx alot for making this great deal available to us because i think that for 96$ it's a really good product. Now i'll just have to wait till my order gets done and i finally get this cool VFD (the blue filter included makes me even more impatient hehe)

I'm on this bandwagon.....Getting 2 of these (I need three, but two will do for now......As long as Funks tells us if the sale is ever about to end :)

Question on the LCDC software though. You said in the article that some features of LCDC wouldn't work with this VFD. Reading over on Matt's board, he states that his relationship with MO is too good to risk by writing code for this one. Any better software choices than LCDC for full support? Anybody working on "workarounds" for it?

Now I have a reason to cut a hole in my SX1040 doors!!
