Hello I have recently aquired a noritake vfd from ebay. It is a 20*2 display model number CU20025ECPB-U1J. It has got 2 rows of 7 (14) of data pins to be soldered and a small 3 pin connector that I assume is for power and ground. I have read the brilliant lcd faq on this forum, although the links to wiring guides on icehw seem to be down. Before I start trying to wire this thing up, has anybody got any tips or pointers for me? This is the first time that I have attempted to wire up a LCD/VFD so any help will be gratefully appreciated.
If you go to the http://www.noritake-itron.com/ and look under 5x7 Character Modules, you can download a manual for your VFD. You will need to register but they don't bombard you with spam, just one e mail saying in essence "Help Yourself". Have fun, Graham.
