Cooling Northbridge lapping

    anyone done this? im quite tempted to have a go at my NF7-S NB before I mount my new swiftech NB heatsink

    if you havn't seen it. I know endre is going to attempt it. Personally seems a bit extreme. Unless you have found the very limits of your board with volt mods then i doubt you'll gain much from it. but have a go because i want to see if it does make a difference :p

    Done it loads of times :)

    It makes a hell of a differance on northbridges that have the circualr insert in the center as this sits way blow the surface. On northbridges that dont have that insert (ie. later nforce2) it makes less of a differance but it is still well worth doing!

    Theres nothing to worry about just follow that artical and you will be fine :thumb:

    k gonna do it then. ive got a few things planned which i will do all at once while I have my mobo out, Its gonna be impossible to tell if there is much of a difference from just this.
