http://www.angelfire.com/trek/llama/PC.jpg Anyone have an idea how to make those PSU cables a bit neater Sorry you have to copy/paste that...lol
yeah you can put sleeves on them. I got mine from frozencpu. they got white, black, purple, red, yellow and red (maybe I forgot one or two there...) and it's pretty inexpensive so.. like I've done
Thanks for the help. WHat did you use to put the sleeves on? edit: Oops sorry didn't read your post!!!
well the sleeves can expand 3 times I think their original size but it's better to take off the molex and floppy connectors... really easy to do
Yeah , that last post was a good one (the site) I must advice that too , lol but if you dont wanna go true alllllllll that trouble ... just buy some tubing ... cut it open ... put it around the wire's ... and just do some ... uhm (I dont know the name .. but its like a little plastic thing that u can do around it , and close it , so its tightend ..... "span banden" in dutch .... and u can use that system on anything ... and its very easy aswell just a thought .... U could just buy rounded IDE cables but then again .. thats expensive ... I like cheaper mods ... with money u can acheive anything ... but .. where's the modding in that ? buying rounded cable's .... buying nice looking stuff ... buying a windowed case ... buying a stealth drive .... that just takes all the fun away !!!
Well here is what I did. I really hate messy wires so a clean interior is a must with my cases. My breifcase mod I have been working on I cut off about 90% of the cabling that it came with and am now trying very very hard to reattach the shortened cabling but I think I am failing miserably. Maybe my soldering iron is a POS or something <sigh>. I have got barely no room to work with inside the psu because of all those damn cables in there. Maybe I should do some desoldering of the useless stubbs I cut off? -bliz
If you can wait a week, I can hook you up I will include full instructions also. I have had alot of very satisfied customers
Basically my enermax powersupply in my breifcase was just getting in the way. So I cut off all the excess cables and left the main mobo power lead and then 1 normal lead for my hdd/cdrom. The remaining "stubbs" are about 1" in length and are all individually electrically taped so nothing touches eachother. -bliz
Also, I must have gotten some extremely poor quality nylon sleeving for my project. I attmepted to melt the ends of them and they just decintigrated basically. Weak thin crap, and it even said fire resistant in the description! I couldn't even melt the heatshrink without burning half of the sleeving away! So I had to finish the job off with electrical tape, which as everyone knows SUCKS and comes apart after a while. -bliz
Lol that was something else I was gonna tell you, but it was pushed back to the 30th, dont worry, I shall deliver as promised As far as your enermax, do you live in the states? if so, you could send it to me and I could work on it for you.................. EDIT: Duh I read your profile, looks like Denva to me, yah think about sending it to me, I could fix er up for a small fee.
Try Electrical tape. That is what I used it look pretty good. you can see it here http://forums.bit-tech.net/showthread.php?s=&threadid=11440 It can be done in most colors. ( RED blue yellow black what ever you can find the tape in and it is very easy. PS sorry about the pic quality.
edit :: HEheheh!! MELT Phire melt!!!! Hey you can make it look really good plus you can spiral wrap in multiple colors!
It makes you dizzy if youlook at it to long. Perfect for taking over the world!!! Bwahahahahahahackckck!!!
