    hi people

my brother used to have 2 kits of 2x256Mo dual channel memory modules, that is to say 1Go of ram

he wanted to speed up a little his computer, and so he purchased two bigger kits of 2x512Mo each kit (still dual channel memory modules) so he can get rid of the virtual memory and use a ramdisk for some stuff like temporary files

but now Win XP pro only recognizes 1Go of ram over the 2Go :duh:

I've installed CPU-Z on his computer, and the software can find the whole amout of memory, and also has no problem dectecting all the memory modules on each of the four slots

I don't know if it matters or not, but it also tells that the memory frequency is 133MHz instead of the 200MHz I expected...

I don't know what to do, I've already flashed the BIOS of the mobo to the latest version (gigabyte GA-7N400 Pro2 rev1, old nForce 2 Ultra400 card :naughty: )

    thanks for your support :D
