the linky said about 3600rpm... it had several fixed heads. just wow.. it each platter weighs about 35 pounds or so. like daaaaaamnn.... the heaviest platter I have ever seen only weighed maybe 200 grams. and that was from an old mfl 30 meg hdd. .lol
So if it was a 1 meg hard-drive, and 1meter across (I'm terrible with metrics, does that sound like a good diameter?) then each bit would take .2mm so a kinda low density... Just imagine if you made a disk that big with modern data density. L J
well my ebay search has turned up nothing. Can't seem to get one of these! Or maybe "uber big hard drive" & "uber big hard drive platters" weren't the best search terms. lol!
