Unfortunately for us southerners in London there is nothing. The nearest place for us now is in reading or Portsmouth

That would be a good idea, I would do the same where I live but the likes of Scan, Aria, Microdirect and Overclockers are all within a 30 minute drive.

There is not enough margin in hardware to sustain a shop in London unfortunately :-(

I always thought, all you'd need is a tiny 'doorway' shopfront. You could buy the parts online, and then turn up and collect them at the shop. No need for a huge shop with all the cases etc strewn around.

That is actually what YYT are doing. They are returning, just not to central London.

I had no idea they'd gone. A shame as I found them pretty good overall, much much better than the shops along tottenham court rd.

You often seem to have the required stock levels!

The google reviews are, erm, a little questionable! They all look like they have been written by the same (disgruntled) person...

If you are prepared to travel a little micrologic computers based in Hayes in west London. Not uber cheap but no where near some of the TCR prices. Used to work for them. Actually used to run the store they used to have on edgware road, rent was too expensive. Didn't want to have to start ripping off customers so they closed it.

Kovoet stock is ok ish though they just downsized the store again. Their website uses link to distributer stock so its always best to phone the shop and check. Oh and best bet is to speak to Jack (owner) as he will know better than his staff what he has in.

It is a stones throw from my place.
