Well that goes without saying! :D China's a deceptively large place. I mean after all, it is a huge landmass. But it's always fun to know that there are in fact many different colors and creeds everywhere you go. Plus, China's a great place to get drunk. Much better than Japan. Just don't drink with the northerners or the deceptively lightweight southerers. ;)

You think you're disappoint? You don't even live here. There's a chance that asshole Ryan will be yay close to being president of the country I live in :miffed:

Then again, how the hell could the Republicans think RomneyBot would stand a chance against Obama? Obama's been a worse-than-useless asshole, but he'll be a damn sight better than Mitt "I want to be your hu-man presi-I mean, president" Romney.

A large place would be an understatement in my journeys there it was quite clear that the look of the native Chinese changed depending on where you were, the southerners being more dark skinned than the northerner.

Got drunk with a few southerners quite a few times and compared to a Dane they barely have to sniff a beer to get drunk. If I went with just a few of my friends into the mainland (I lived in Macau) I would never have to buy my own drinks, as again you felt like a rock star and was given drinks left and right just for being white

Never went to Japan though, knew a few Japanese, but have never been to Japan, a thing I must change when the opportunity arises.

Hmm, I must have had too many vietnamese friends with me. :D They're the real southern asians. ;)

But yeah, the actual Southern chinese (aka the not really mixed ones..aka not the vietnamese ones) can hold their liquor as well as a broken mug holds coffee. The Northerners though, yikes. Small they may be, they'll drink you out of the bar (well maybe not if you're danish, but I'm Chinese so what do I know?). Yeah, the folks there are really friendly usually, white or not, it's interesting they're kind to English Speakers as far as I know.

I kinda miss China and Vietnam to be honest. As for the comparison to Japan, the reason I brought that up was if you're inclined to drink at all, Japan's notorious for expensive alcohol (well if you want the decent stuff). You can get a bottle of Black or better in Beijing for a measly $20 USD (about 100 Yuan, but that's nothing..)

Plus, the haggling! This has become a bit of an appreciate foreign places thread.

Note: Real men get around in Vietnam in motorbikes.

I'm just happy that most of the time I had one or two Chinese friends with me, without them I would have been butt-raped in every store I got to.

Plus very few Chinese speak anything else than Mandarin making communication somewhat difficult.

You know, the funny thing is that it's not as bad as people would have you believe. I mean I survived. :D

That said, Saigon sucks regardless of how you're being transported because it's an overcrowded city. Taxis are slow, traffic congestion is terrible, and bikers are rude.

Which is why I'd opt for biking because you're never really going any faster than about 20mph unless its night time.

I agree with Elton, The bikes in Nam are an awesome way of traveling. Ive just gotten back a month ago from Asia.

Generally Bikes arn't the problem its the cars that will kill you or drink bike riding, which i did plenty off.

    Generally awesome country.

Engineer 1 : We used up all the space with pointless labels, where do we put the battery now ?
Engineer 2 : I have an idea ! How about gluing it to the ethernet port and connect it to the motherboard using two wires ?
Engineer 1 : Perfect idea, let's do this.

MSI, your demote was successfull :D (and i am not even commenting the 8-pin EPS connector location vs HDA connector location vs PCI-E).

    More like:

Engineer 1: "Hey, look at this cool fully-featured mITX board I created. Didn't think I would be able to cram all that stuff on, did you?"
Engineer 2: "Where's the BIOS battery go?"
    Engineer 1: "... Oh, ****!"

OMFG looks like it's designed by someone who has never seen an actual computer case.

Just imagine the cable spaghetti on that board...

    Facepalm, MSI :duh:

Seriously though, why are component manufacturers so insistent on making ridiculous decisions like this when they surely know that they're going to end up looking stupid

Oh dear god that board is a total cluster****, what were they thinking? Oh yeah, Faug pointed it out, gotta tell people about the OC Genie and All Solid Caps!

What demotivates me more though is that still we only get 90 degree SATA ports, why aren't mobo power/USB/Audio/CPU power/front panel/etc. connectors all being done with 90 degree connectors yet?

EDIT: Just noticed, look at the audio connector in relation to the PCI-Express :duh: Tuck the wire under the inside of the GPU or have it trailing along the back of it? Decisions, decisions.
