LOL *NSFW* *The new Demote thread*

I'm one and a half years into a maths degree and I can sill never remember how to do long division.

I did atually end up sitting my D2 maths module without a calculator once because I forgot to go get one and the exam was starting; I didn't really need the marks, so I thought: "Oh well, what the hell".

 

I wonder how many actually believe all they are fed and how many actually know more of the truth (and aren't in special "camps").

I'm sure most of you have seen the pictures but if not the search "earth at night north korea". They Really do keep their people in the dark.

 

Most of them, probably. In the face of all that propaganda and without any external influence you can expect a much better uptake than we would normally think. There's probably a very quiet doubt about double rainbows and stars appearing, but it's all blended in.

If there's one thing that de-motivates me it's how excellent the human race is at inflicting suffering and misery on others.

 

Actually it shouldn't be that surprising. One can see such buy-in in many of our sub-cultures and sub-groups (often accompanied by disdain for anyone not in that group).

Indeed - and often only because they believe differently.

Korea is basically having the same troubles like Israel/Palestina. The UN installed a status quo in both cases back then without persuing real solutions.
Korea was about US/CCCP/China and the cold war, and Israel/Palestina was about the colonial powers and control of the oil in the middle-east combined with the holocaust during WW2.

The soviets and chinese blocked the UN back then and are blocking it nowadays on every opportunity aswell. They simply didn't get rid of the mentality formed in the beginning of the cold war and are still fighting the western POV.
Same goes for the old colonial powers and the US when the question is about the middle east.

It's not even demotivating anymore, but only sad.

 

I feel for humanity.

 

Wednesday, the North Korean general staff informed Washington that they will destroy USA with Nuclear force... someone saw to many action movies.

 

What is demotivating is that I can apparently not see the difference between the Demote thread and the Vids of awesome thread.

 

2 of my favorite lines from that..

"The red cross supplies roofs and curtains from North Korea" and the best
"Notice the birds in the trees, they will be eaten on Tuesday. Yummy"

I know that is the "translations" at least.. with the birds one I couldn't help but laugh as they specify the exact day
