This was a rubbish way to use my 10,300th post. Demotivation successful -.-

 

For me it's not about who's been cast, it's more the fact that it was what, a year ago since the last film? Give it time to let the hype die down and for us to not make immediate comparisons.

 

I don't think it would have made any difference to comparisons no matter how long was left between. Eg: despite all the stellar work Affleck has done over the last 5 or 6 years all people can talk about is how crap Daredevil was, that movie is 10 years old and it wasn't even his fault it sucked.

I'm gonna take it on faith that Snyder et all have actually thought this through and even more so, Affleck himself has thought it through. He hasn't made a bad decision in a long time so I'm inclined to take it at face value if he thinks he's up to the job, it's not like he's desperate for the work what with being an Oscar winning director and such.

I saw a good story once about a guy whom did falconry with his Golden Eagle ( in Mongolia )- he forgot to wear his chain-mail vest and the bird landed on his chest instead of his arm by accident; the birds talons pierced his heart and he died almost instantly. True or not, it's certainly possible...

Awesome. I no longer need to load the 9gag app on my phone.

 

I could find the original versions before some moron uploaded them to the 9gag server & they stuck their claim logo on them, but for the sake of a tiny logo it really isn't worth it and doesn't diminish the value of the demote. I should also note I never visit 9gag directly and these are just sourced on my travels as I wander the wonderful web...

I propose a new version of Facebook. It is called "Facepalm".

Instead of sending "likes", you can send a whole range of emotions, such as: "pointedly ignore", "eye roll", "disapproving tut", "disdain", "ridicule", "passive-aggressive silence", "cynical sneer", "condescending eyebrow lift", "sarcastic witticism", "WTF dude?!?", "Naaw dude (dude, naaw)!" etc.

It will be great-- oh, wait. We already have something like that: 4Chan.
