Basically it lists all the contradictions in the bible ( there are lots... ), and has some interesting statistical data- such as 46% of Americans believing that God created humans in their present form within the last 10,000 years ( creationist theology ).

Makes for very interesting & depressing reading at the same time....

 

Didn't we all agree to ban all religion-related topics from the Demote thread?



Even though it's pretty interesting I admit; at this point it's just flamebait.

 

What I don't get is why the fact they're killing each other with chemical weapons makes any significant difference... because ya know it was alright when it was just bullets, rockets, suicide bombing, torture and rape.

 

Because chemical weapons are specifically against the Geneva Protocol, meaning that (if true) Syria have broken International law and it gives other member states of the UN a reason to directly intervene in the conflict.

 

Quite easy to understand why no one has done jack-shite so far in all honesty....

Checklist for invading another country:

1. Do they have oil, or any other precious/valuable resource worth appropriating?
2. Do any other countries have interests or assets in that country?


It's #2 which is the issue here- Russia has a naval base there and of course, America isn't quite dumb enough to go waltzing in as the Ruskis might get a bit anxious that they'll have to close that base if there is a total regime change ( meaning the Americans put their puppet in charge just like they always do- that never comes back to bite them in the ass either... ), causing tensions between east and west to boil over perhaps- and that's in no ones interests...
