    Yoda speak.

So: Six Seven Eight = Seven Eight Six

    Eight = Ate

Seven Eight Six = Seven Ate Six.

I think that there's a way that you can do that sort of comedy, but you have to have tact. Even the BBC person with the hat was very obviously recording and approached people from the front. People had time to react (or not) to the approaching hat person. Sneaking up behind people and handcuffing a briefcase to them while they load their car in the back of a warehouse? You're asking to get the crap beaten out of you, and honestly, I think someone really should.

People have a right to not be touched. They have a right to be able to go about their business without having to touch other people in order to do it (so blocking someone's path can also be assault/aggression). This behavior isn't comedy, it's criminal.

Now, the exception is if I'm going to a Cirque du Soleil perfromance (or similar) and there are clowns/mimes before the show that are getting in people's space, then I've already opted into that. I'm there for a performance and they are doing their job. But these guys are professionals and they are going to know when a person is "opting out" through body language, hand waving, etc.

Its the one with the briefcase that stuck in my mind.

Waaaaay back before the Internet was born I remember watch Clive james on TV who would show the wacky TV shows that were on the go from around the world. This is where I first became aware of just how cruel Japanese TV can be - especially Endurance, but the bit I was really horrified by was an Egyptian version of Candid Camera, for all you young things out there it was basically prank TV. It showed one of the team from the show going up to people in the street and handing them a ticking and/or hissing briefcase and then running away as fast as he could with the whole thing being filmed by a hidden camera crew.
Now this was the mid to late eighties, at the time of a significant amount of terrorist incidents all over the Middle East and in Europe and they're doing this kind of stunt for laughs? It did have the pranked person being shown that it was a joke later on and they all laughed about it on camera - I'm thinking perhaps off camera might have been different especially just after the dumping of the case.
It might have all been one big set up but I remember watching at the time and it didn't seem fake although that might be my dimmed perception as a result of many years going by.

    Not much changes then...

I remember this, fairly sure one version of the show was set in Israel too.

And yet if you do respond with anything other than the absolute minimum force required you'll be the one prosecuted for overreacting., something very likely to occur if you're surprised. I can think of a few people you don't want surprised, one example being ex-army undergoing treatment for PTSD and prone to making sure anyone he puts down stays down. Of course the defence used will be "It was a joke! There was no need for that!" but someone's likely to get hurt, possibly quite badly.

The really demotivating bit? It only takes the tiniest bit of foresight to see how badly wrong it can go but they go ahead and do it anyway.

If someone tried this on me I'd bite out their eyeballs, rip off their head and piss down their neck hole, then disembowel them, skin them, chop them into little pieces and bury them in a shallow grave. Then I'd piss on the grave. Then I'd dig them up again to trample each little piece to mush and bury them again. Then I'd kill their family, their friends and even the people who owed them money.

Or I'd run away screaming like a little girl. But definitely one of the two. :p

Well despite some claims to the country. i HATE people invading my personal space, and most forms of physical contact im not very good with

if someone came up to me and tried that it would likely set me off into a panic attack, i would collapse and shake uncontrollably, hardly comedy and sometimes requiring paramedics to bring my heart rate / breathing back down

Nexxo you misunderstood my post. I just have terrible oral/physical hygiene and chronic flatulence - I wouldn't hurt a fly. In fact, I seem to attract flies for some reason...

At least they're still alive, Kevin Peter Hall died in 1991. The subsequent Predator films suffered for his loss for many reasons but nobody played the character like he did.

I can top that: I'd invade their personal space.
