You know, just a few years ago this stuff would've irritated me too. In fact I would probably have complained loudly about "tumblr"-this and "sjw"-that, but for some reason that irritation went away and now I can't even imagine what's there to get upset about.

Yes, in the current comic series Thor is a woman. Yes, Ms Marvel is muslim. Yes, Iron Man is a young African-American girl. And I honestly can't see anything inherently wrong with any of those.
It's an opportunity for something new, for interesting storylines, perspectives and character motivations. The essence of most superheroes is a costume and a set of abilities, and if a more diverse* set of characters starts to fill those roles, what's the problem? Bad writing is still bad writing of course, but when did diversity in itself become a bad thing? (see: internet rage when the comic's not even out yet)
Same for -- and I know this will piss off even more people -- the new Ghostbusters film. Complaining about the dreadful trailer? Perfectly reasonable (and I'd even agree). Just complaining that the main characters are now 4 women instead of 4 dudes? (like thunderfoot and some others) I don't get it. I really don't.

Also, why are people acting so entitled when it's Marvel themselves who are choosing this direction for some of their superheroes? It's not even like they were pressured by some external group or something.
The history of these superheroes isn't erased, and neither are the original characters. As Bendis himself says:

If having somewhat progressive ideas about diversity makes you an "SJW" nowadays, then yes he definitely an "SJW".
To me, the only people that fit the label are a small fringe group, mostly visible on Tumblr, who rabidly attack anyone they perceive as "offensive" or "problematic", probably initially in a misguided attempt to help others, but also to feel good about themselves. (see: the harassment Joss Whedon receives from that corner of the internet etc.)
