    I had one of those.. that exact one. It used to give an annoying bleep in Morse code... can't remember what it actually aid now though.

    Context: In 1965 the Tryweryn Valley was flooded to create a reservoir, destroying the culturally significant village of Capel Celyn. It was done despite the opposition of local residents, Welsh local authorities, and Welsh MPs, and the reservoir doesn't (or at least didn't) even supply anywhere in Wales - it was build to supply Liverpool and the Wirral.

    Now, I wouldn't expect many people who aren't Welsh to know about Tryweryn... but this is a candidate for the Senedd who's running in a consitiuency not 20 miles from Tryweryn... :wallbash:
