Exactly. The anti-vaxxers who get it and survive, post on social media saying it was no big deal and embolden others to stay unvaccinated. Unfortunately, early indications are this new strain might be less deadly than Delta, and existing vaccines (or antibodies from covid classic) may not be effective against it, which is pretty much worst case scenario.

Any mutations that make it less deadly but more transmissible are good in my book. The common cold is highly transmissible but very mild. We aren't eradicating COVID so we need it to become mostly benign with time

If it retains the high transmissibility rate, it will just mutate over and over again, randomly becoming more or less deadly. As the antivaxxers love to point out, right now it actually does a really poor job of killing healthy people, but a great job of over filling ICU beds. If the healthcare system collapses, other dominoes in our society are sure to follow.

All that being said, I have no problem watching the world burn, so I'll just grab another bucket of popcorn and see how this turns out.

And Airplane is an anagram of Perianal but that's not the reason why they probe your ass at the airport.

Dude jumped on D-Day, survived the rest of the war, drank Hitler's personal booze at his son's Bar Mitzvah AND lived to be 99.

That's not demote at all, that's awesome!

So what I'm hearing here, is that we can solve a whole bunch of problems from inequality to global warming by... offing the richest 10 per cent and distributing their wealth across the remaining 90 per cent?

Seems do-able, really. A lot more do-able than terraforming Mars or whatever Musk and Bezos are planning to do with their dick-rockets.

    EDIT:

    I've made a huge mistake!

Eh. I had a good run.

I think the point is to get more money in public coffers because it's more likely that governments could cooperate to solve the climate crisis than multinationals whose whole thing is to...*check notes*...compete against each other.

The truly demote part is that pretty much anyone with a full time job in Western Europe is in the top 10%, which in turn gives an idea of how absurdly out of whack the income of the top 0.1% is.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (Part One)

It literally took Sony one movie to break out the maximum amount of corporate movie BS. Part one? Really?
At least the trailer looks nice...

And to this day, he's the only one who failed Vader and lived to tell the tale.
