I can probably guess when it's going to pop, just before my bonus vests, currently massively pumped due to the AI wave, so were all done by Oct....and will have the added bonus of being unemployed, it is the way in the semiconductor boom bust cycle.

Well, yeah, nobody can put a true number on inference cost, so your $200 sub could easily run into thousands in data centre resource. but they can't raise the prices because customers are already baulking at the current cost. They can't maintain pricing because they're still losing money and they can't drop prices because that will affect confidence in the IPOs they are so desperate to launch; which they need to maintain operation "until everything comes good", which it won't.

They're going for the too big to fail gambit, and praying for government money becaue the fall will bring down the economy with it.

Remember when we were angry at bankers for gambling on mortgage futures? That will seem almost adorable in the near future.

Ah, I plugged into an LG monitor today (that I’ve had for years) and windows automatically installed the LG launcher. So I uninstalled it. I don’t want to have to deal with that, but I don’t really want to have to shell out for new monitors

 

LG TV has been neutered, just turned the wifi off, I have no idea why I turned it on in the first place.
