I still always do everything metric for things i can physically measure and imperial for anything bigger lol 'Oh it's XYZ kilometers away' means bugger all to me :)

I prefer weights, fluids and peoples heights in imperial too to be honest. "I'm 178cms tall."......"Orly. Whats that in real money?" :D

Just think about some of the ultras bizarre measures we used to use ;)

The UK does like to use some odd combinations. The company I work for sells earthing and lightning protection materials and our standard earth rod is 5/8" diameter x 1.2m long.........

Aslong as you dont do this, you can use whatever you like.

"The primary cause of this discrepancy was human error. Specifically, the flight system software on the Mars Climate Orbiter was written to calculate thruster performance using the metric unit Newtons (N), while the ground crew was entering course correction and thruster data using the Imperial measure Pound-force (lbf)."

:toot: I do all of my design work in metric, the last american engineer I collaborated with made our relationship difficult when he wanted me to move something 6 inches deeper....

The most demotivating thing about that is the way Americans call it Lego's. It's a piece of Lego or lots of pieces of Lego dammit!

I know it's wrong but I always call multiple sheep, sheeps, it sounds better :D

Calling Lego "Legos" though, is just idiotic.....!
