Ok so you pay money for a unlimited service and they limit you. how can they get away with this. If your limiting the service then you cant advertise it as unlimited.

I currently have major difficulties contacting all of my friends over MSN, the common factor is that they all use NTL.

Meh, get used to it. I'm suppose to be on 2Mbit internet since September when they started upgrading. I pay for 2Mbit broadband. I'm still on 1Mbit. Customer support is a joke. Go figure.

    Never had a problem.
Although this may be for the telewest network, ntl are probably too cheap to actually monitor bandwidth.

I hoped Telewest wouldn't go downhill when they partnered with NTL, but :(

That's the attitude that lets these companies get away with this kind of stuff :hip:

People should complain, but then you cant even get through to a person to talk too. Then they're in india and dont understand what 'complaint' means.

actually all we did when they pissed us around with upgrading our set top box was say we're going to leave if you dont fix this problem.
5 mins later we had an appointment for the next day to get the cable modem installed.
    that was with ntl

Yeh iv had a similar experience.

My neighbour was digging up his front garden and destroyed our cable line as it ran under it. I rang NTL and told them i needed it fixed, they said it would cost me £25 and i responded " Well my neighbours a builder and he claims the wire wasnt sufficiently underground in the first place, he says that it was cut because it wasnt layed down properly, now im not paying the fee unless you send someone out here to check for themselves to confirm this otherwise sod it, im changing suppliers"

The woman talked to someone and came back 1min later and said "as a goodwill gesture, we will send the technician out for free"
    3days later it was fixed.

We have NTL in our current house, i swore that i wouldn't use them again after my last experience but i didn't order the line. They were s**t then and they are s**t now.
Surely they can't advertise it as unlimited if they limit some people.
