And 40x0 cards
Look on youtube for "Hardware Unboxed Nvidia driver overhead" for a complete picture
If you can get your hands on them
Gigabyte have registered a full dozen 3080Ti SKUs with the EEC (Eurasian Economic Commission):-
I guess that's 12 cards total then, all for "influencers".
Thats not true, there were the ones they sent for EMC conformity testing too!
12 SKUs for one 'type' of card is frankly bonkers. The costs associated with validation, packaging, marketing, stock management, manufacturing line changes is surely bloody expensive. I wouldn't want more than 2 or 3 - A cheap and cheerful model with a standard cooler and an expensive one with the mutts-nuts cooler. I'll allow a watercooled SKU at this end of the market to. But 12!!!!!
I'm willing to bet 50% or more will be basically the same thing with electronicss not placed...
Several of them are "OC variants" add a factory overclock and charge a bit more.
Still far too many.
Just going through the motions from previous practise.
Currently, they could produce a single SKU, coloured luminous bile green with pink led fans, and it would still sell out.
I finnally got my cancellation email today too! Only a week after it all!
So... A Palit "Gamerock" card then.
Do you think Palit took a look at G.Skill's Trident Z Royal RAM and said "That textured lighting looks mighty tasteful, let's have some of that all over a GPU?"
You mean they didn't spray the shroud with superglue before dropping it in a bucket of broken glass?
Possibly, especially if the glass was from jars of unicorn puke
I thought RGB came from male uni-horn tears.....
A lot of 3060 cards dropped on scan this afternoon, anyone else get lucky?
If you can call 400 for a mid range non ti lucky....
/pets 1080 sweetly
",Just carry on a bit longer old girl, you just need to see this year out and then you can rest you old trooper"
Coincidentally I did get a new toy from Scan in that price range...
But I somehow suspect it ain't a GPU:
