It's only about 10% faster than the 7800xt for 20-25% increase in price. I'm trying to not get carried away, stop tempting me!
I'm tempted to buy a 4090 from Cex as they give you a five year warranty as I'm afraid the 5090 is going to be insanely priced.
I'm hanging on to see if amd balls up the 9070XT pricing or not before picking something up. No way a 5*** series for me, it'll be bonkers money.
Tbf they're not badly priced, basically MSRP and a 5 year warranty is more than most AIBs give. Yeh I'm thinking 9070xt. Seems a fitting replacement for my 5700 (the last time AMD said f' the high end). Trouble is I'm not sure whether to get in there first thing to avoid post launch "supply and demand" price hikes, or wait a moment to see if they come down a bit, as AMD like to knock £50-100 quid off soon after launch.
5 year warranty, interesting....... but none of 4090 and 3090 Ti are in stock on CeX. (want more than 16 GB VRAM) Probably will change when 5000 series is announced and released.
Only thing about Cex is I ordered a asus 3060 tuf with the triple fan and they sent me the one with two fans, so I had to send it back and even after me telling them I wanted the correct card sent out they just refunded my moneyi got this for my daughter so she could do some gaming over Xmas but that's gone the way of the dodo.
I think I read there should be no supply issues for February. But yeah, depending how they price it they could drop it within a week or so of release. Hopefully they get it right this time...
Very nice of him to time it when the entirety of Europe is asleep. Think the AMD one is at 7pm gmt on Monday 6th

Nope, looks like nothing to announce for AMD at CES apart from something coming in Q1, with no specific date.
You can steal my joke "man masturbates invisible giant for 45mins hoping a good GPU will be ejaculated."
Well we thought it was the announcement of the announcement, but it turned out to be the announcement of the announcement of the announcement. "Later in q1" was all that was even hinted at. Total bs
