Can I run an nVidia 5200 (8x AGP) on a motherboard that only supports 4x? If it works what will the performance loss be?
performance loss will be negligable, you get more performance difference from your ram timings/drivers i would have thought. AGP 8x is completely backwards compatible to AGP4x but NOT AGP2x cause AGP1.x spec is 3.3v which will fubar a 1.5v card.
