I'm intending to buy a geforce 6800GT but wanted to know which one i should buy. Have read mixed reviews on them, one of the favourites seems to be the XFX, however this seems to be a direct copy from nvidia without any overclocking that were used to from XFX. Does anyone have a suggestion as to which one i should buy, looking at a maximum of £320. Cheers :sigh:

Exellent, i suppose i'll have to wait til the end of the month and count my G's! :D

Any ideas when Zalman are going to release a cooling block which is compatible with the Geforce 6 series for the Reserator?

Also, when is the PCI Express version of the 6800GT available?

Ive seen the gainward card (with doom3) drop as low as £305 at microdirect. They keep putting it on special offer pretty much every other week. Keep your eyes peeled as they say.

How about the BFG 6800GT OC for £265 inc VAT?

Only problem is that they have no telephone numbers, and will not deliver to anywhere other than the card address. Providing you can get around that, it's a good deal (I reckon anyway).

that is an excellent price, but it may be a pricing error, as pcworld are hardly known for low prices and if that was the price i would have expected some sort of "OMG LOOK AT THIS CHEAP OFFER" thing of some description

its worth a try but dont be surpised if you get an email after your order it telling you to rack off :D

You can also take a look at the galaxy one probably :D
It comes with an Artic Cooling Fan (Silencer type) and a reinforced (metal bar along the side of the card to avoid it from braking in two, lol). Also, it is at 370/1000 when you buy it. Bad thing about it,... no games included in the package except for a dvd player software. You can get it on www.overclockers.co.uk at about 300£ I think.

No pricing error I ordered one, had it delivered, returned it, bought an ultra for £20 more.

The gainward card is around £50 cheaper than the cheapest of Ultras. It also comes at Ultra clocks (400/1100) out of the box, and it overclocks even further.

Oh, it has dual DVI too. :D
